Subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition will see three existing long-only equity funds transferred from 2CG Senhouse to Waverton: the European Capital Growth, European Income and Southeast Asian Focus funds.

A team of five investment professionals will also transfer with the business, including fund managers Chris Garsten, Charles Glasse and Brook Tellwright.

Waverton will use the acquisition to boost its direct investment in global equities.

Andrew Fleming, chief executive of Waverton, says: “I am delighted to welcome the new team to Waverton and am confident that their expertise will further strengthen Waverton’s European and Asian equity offerings and that we will be a good home for 2CG Senhouse’s existing clients.

“Their focus on bottom-up stock selection and proven ability to identify attractive investment opportunities are in line with our core capabilities and ambitions at Waverton.”
