UK to be knocked out of world’s largest economies by 2022

The UK is set to fall out of the world’s five largest economies by 2022, according to IMF estimates.

India is set to leapfrog Germany within five years to rank fourth globally, pushing the latter into fifth place, while the UK will fall into sixth place, Bloomberg reports.

India’s economy will grow at 9.9 per cent a year, compared to the UK, which is expected to grow at 2 per cent this year and 1.8 per cent in 2018.
