Tisa, the savings and investment organisation, has become a member of lobby group TheCityUK to help drive policy for the financial services industry ahead of the Brexit negotiations.
Tisa says becoming a member will strengthen the organisation’s input into developing Brexit policy and give a greater voice to members.
Tisa director general David Dalton-Brown says: “Tisa’s Brexit focus is solely on the issues that relate to the savings and investments sector. From the outset, we recognised the importance of working with TheCityUK and other industry bodies to help in the development of joined-up Brexit policy proposals.
“This co-operation is essential to enable financial services to present a comprehensive series of recommendations and policy ideas to the Brexit negotiating team.”
He adds: “By aligning the best interests of consumers, firms and the economy there is much we can do to present compelling, evidence-based thought leadership and policy recommendations aimed at improving the financial resilience of people in the UK.”
