Tilney has appointed internally to fill newly-created investment management roles in London and Birmingham following the merger of Tilney Bestinvest and Towry.

Miles Robinson will become head of investment management in London, a new role, having previously been Tilney’s head for intermediaries and head of its Birmingham office, and having worked for the company for 17 years.

Robinson, who will be based in Mayfair, will report to Alan Edwards, head of investment management for England. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s 40 investment managers in London.

In a slightly amended role to fill the vacancy left by Robinson in the Birmingham office, Adam Parker will become the head of Midlands investment management. Parker has been a director at Tilney since 2008 and will also report to Edwards.

Edwards says: “With the merger of Towry and Tilney Bestinvest now complete, we are excited to be able to move forward with the process of creating an industry leading investment management offering.”
