Thomas Miller chief executive Balfour steps down

He will leave the company in January 2016 but will continue managing the business until a replacement is found, the firm has announced today.

Balfour joined Thomas Miller Investment in July 2009 starting as chief investment officer. Before joining the investment firm, he headed Glasgow Investment Managers since 2004.

Before that, he spent 16 years with Edinburgh Fund Managers, including six years as chief investment officer and managing director.

Bruce Kesterton, chief executive and executive director of Thomas Miller Group and chairman of Thomas Miller Investment, says: “[Balfour] has been instrumental in creating and developing a solid business platform for the business, which is set fair for the future.
