Standard Life Wealth has appointed John Hair chief investment officer and Julie-Ann Ashcroft to head of investments.
Both joined Standard Life Wealth in 2013 following the acquisition of Newton private client business.
Reporting to chief executive Richard Charnock, Chief Executive Officer, Hair will have responsibility for the overall performance of Standard Life Wealth’s £6.7bn AUM investment portfolios.
Hair will continue to manage portfolios for charities, private clients, trusts and pensions.
Ashcroft will report into John Hair, assuming responsibilities for conventional portfolios, as well as managing The Balanced Bridge fund, and the Standard Life Wealth Offshore Income fund.
She will work alongside Darren Ripton, also head of investments, and responsible for the oversight of Standard Life Wealth’s Target Return portfolios.
Charnock says the firm was able to fill the role internally due to depth of talent.
Standard Life Wealth has offices in London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds and an offshore presence in the Channel Islands.
