Standard Life Investments has replaced Guy Jubb as head of governance and stewardship, ahead of his retirement next month.
Euan Stirling, senior fund manager and analyst in the UK equity team, will take over the role, which has been altered to include ESG investing.
Stirling currently runs institutional UK equity portfolios at Standard Life Investments, having joined the firm in 2001 from Schroders.
“This new role will enable us to enhance our client offering in an area where we are already regarded as market leaders and will ensure that Standard Life Investments continues to be at the forefront of stewardship and ESG investment,” says Rod Paris, CIO at Standard Life Investments.
“Euan’s expertise in company analysis, portfolio management and client relations equip him well to ensure that the outstanding stewardship capability of our governance and stewardship and responsible investment teams is fully embedded within our ‘focus on change’ investment process.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Guy Jubb for his contribution to the business and in particular for over the last 20 years, where he has played a major role in helping to build Standard Life Investments’ reputation as a leader in the governance & stewardship arena,” adds Paris.
Jubb announced in October last year that he was leaving the firm. He will retire on 31 March 2016 and will continue to work on engagement with companies until then.
