Schroders launches multi asset fund

Schroders has launched the Multi-Asset Total Return fund, which aims to provide investors with a return of 4 per cent a year above cash over a rolling three year period.

It will invest in equities and bonds as well as alternatives such as currencies and commodities. It will invest in a combination of return seeking, risk reducing and diversifying investments.

Johanna Kyrklund, global head of multi-asset investments, will oversee the investment process.

The team will take a medium term view of one to three years when setting the initial allocation.

The fund has an on going charge of 0.8 per cent with a minimum investment of £5,000.

James Rainbow, co-head of UK intermediary at Schroders says the product is “well placed” to deliver long-term performance across a range of market conditions.

“With interest rates falling to record lows and a persistently low yield environment, investors are in a difficult position when looking for stable returns.”
