Schroders has expanded its US credit team with three hires to boost the research capacity within the unit.
David Knutson joins the team as head of credit research for the Americas. He will oversee the asset manager’s Americas-based credit research activities and will report to head of US credit Wes Sparks.
He replaced Jack Davis who has moved to be a senior analyst at Schroders.
Knutson joins from 10 years at Legal and General Investment Management America, where he was senior analyst in fixed income research. He has also previously worked at Mason Street Advisors and UBS.
Chris Eger has joined the division as a credit specialist portfolio manager, a newly-created role that also reports to Sparks. He joins from nine years at JP Morgan Chase, where he was executive director and credit trader.
Eric Skelton has also joined Schroders as a senior credit trader, for US investment grade credit. He reports to head of training in Americas Gregg Moore.
Karl Dasher, chief executive of North America and co-head of fixed income at Schroders, says: “Investors globally are increasingly attracted to US credit markets in the search for yield and we have been beneficiaries of that trend. These additions will further strengthen our in-house research and execution capabilities in the USD credit domain.”
