Schroders has added a quantitative analyst and a global markets strategist to its fixed income team.
Jean-Christophe Alario joins from Pictet Asset Management and will focus on developing models and tools to support the team’s investment process.
Alario, who has worked in asset management for a decade, will report to Paul Grainger. He has previously held roles at Rogge Global Partners, Primergy Capital Partners and RAB Capital.
Marcus Jennings fills a newly created role of fixed income strategist, responsible for in-depth analysis of global markets and economies.
Jennings joined Schroders as a graduate and has been part of the economics team. He will report to head of global macro strategy Bob Jolly.
Co-head of fixed income Philippe Lespinard says enhanced quantitative research from Alario together with in-depth analysis of markets and economies from Jennings will improve the fixed income team’s investment proposition for clients.
