Premier’s Chris White steps down as manager of UK Growth fund

Corporate-Finance-Business-Businessmen-Hire-Appointment-700x450.jpgPremier Asset Management has named Jon Hudson and Benji Dawes as co-managers of the Premier UK Growth fund.

The appointments come as previous manager Chris White stands down as manager of the UK Growth fund – which he has run since 2013 – to focus on the firm’s equity income portfolios. White manages the Monthly Income and Income funds and co-manages the Optimum Income fund with Geoff Kirk.

Hudson joined Premier in 2007 and has worked with Chris White as an investment manager and analyst since 2013. Dawes has worked in Premier’s UK equity team as an investment manager and analyst since he joined the firm in 2014.

Neil Birrell, CIO at Premier, says: “We are delighted to appoint Jon Hudson and Benji Dawes as co-fund managers of the Premier UK Growth Fund. Jon and Benji have proven their capability to manage a high conviction UK growth portfolio and the change also allows Chris White to focus on managing Premier’s UK equity income funds and his role as head of UK equities.”

Over three years the £120m Premier UK Growth fund has returned 33 per cent against the 33.3 per cent average of the IA UK All Companies sector, FE data shows.
