Old Mutual Wealth hires 2 in distribution push

Ed Peck and Russell Bignall have joined the wealth manager to lead UK distribution in the south-west and north-west of the UK respectively.

Peck comes to OMW from Standard Life, where he headed up business development. Bignall joins from BNY Mellon, where he was business development manager.

Both Peck and Bignall will report to Gary Dale, head of advisory sales at OMW, who joined the firm in September last year.

Scott Goodsir, managing director of UK distribution, says OMW is doubling its technical specialists and doubling its adviser sales team.

“I feel it is down to providers such as ourselves to give advisers the best tools, support and products to provide their clients with the best chance of positive outcomes and we have been constantly growing the team to offer additional support,” he adds.

In January, OMW sales director Nick Jones left the firm to join Octopus. He had been head of sales in the south for the past three years, with Dale taking over the responsibilities on his departure.
