Nordea Asset Management has launched a bond fund to deliver conservative investors returns in line with historical fixed income performance.

The Nordea 1 – Flexible Fixed Income Plus fund invests across fixed income with the possibility of investing 15 per cent in equities.

The asset manager says the fund will share the investment philosophy of its popular Stable Return fund, which last year became one of the largest funds in Europe. However, the fund does not have the capacity constraints of the Stable Return fund, which soft closed late last year.

The fund will use the same multi-asset team behind the Stable Returns fund, which includes lead portfolio manager Karsten Bierre and Asbjørn Trolle Hansen.

Global head of institutional and wholesale distribution Christophe Girondel says: “With this launch, we now offer a complete set of outcome-oriented solutions targeting investors in the lower-risk spectrum of the investment universe.”
