Nordea Group has appointed Nils Bolmstrand as its head of asset management.
The group’s former head of asset management, Christian Hyldahl, left the firm in October for a role as chief executive at ATP.
Bolmstrand, who takes up the new position on 1 January 2017, currently heads up Nordea Life & Pensions. Prior to that, he held managerial positions at Nordea Asset Management and the asset management division of Skandia and Old Mutual.
Johan Nystedt has been appointed acting head of Nordea Life & Pensions.
Nordea Asset Management is the largest asset manager in the Nordics with €215bn of assets under management at the end of the third quarter of 2016, and has a presence across Northern Europe, including London.
“Nils is the right person to maintain the very strong momentum and development of Nordea Asset Management,” says Snorre Storset, head of Nordea Wealth Management. “He has the competencies and experience within the asset management business, and he has strong leadership and personal skills.”
