Morningstar has appointed Jonathan Miller to lead its UK manager research team, replacing Jeremy Beckwith who will leave the firm in April.

Miller, who starts in May, joins from Citywire, where he has been involved in fund analysis since 2003. Most recently he was head of research at the financial information group.

Beckwith has been with Morningstar since November 2014, having previously been interim chief investment officer at Nutmeg.

“Jonathan’s extensive knowledge of the UK market and manager research leadership experience is an excellent fit for our business,” said Traulsen.

“He will be a key member of our global research team and pivotal in helping shape the future direction of our investment analysis as the market continues to evolve and the needs of investors, advisers and fund selectors change.”
