Miton fund managers George Godber and Georgina Hamilton are to exit the asset manager.

The duo, who manage the £869m Miton UK Value Opportunity fund, have handed their notice in to the asset manager.

Godber and Hamilton, who started at the firm three years ago when the fund was launched, have notice periods of 12 months and six months respectively.

In a statement, Miton says: “Miton’s focus continues to be on looking after the best interests of its clients as it recruits replacement portfolio managers.”

Both Godber and Hamilton were previously at Matterley and worked as co-manager and lead analyst respectively on the firm’s flagship Undervalued Assets fund.

Miton could not be reached for further comment.
