Manulife hires head of sales from Lyxor

Business-Handshake-General-Hire-Appointment-700x450.jpgManulife Asset Management has appointed Alan Burnett as head of wholesale sales and relationship management.

Burnett will be responsible of developing the firm’s relationship with corporate and public pension funds. He will report to Manulife’s head of distribution Claude Chene.

Burnett joins the asset manager from Lyxor where he helped build the alternative and absolute return business in the UK. Before Lyxor he held senior sales roles at Martin Currie, Liontrust Asset Management, Axa Investment Managers and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Unit Trust Management.

The firm has also hired Axa Investment Managers director of UK institutional sales Martin Powis as head of institutional sales and relationship management.
