Man GLG has hired five investment professionals for its emerging market debt team, which it recently formed.
The investment manager has hired the five staff across its New York and London offices, with all new hires reporting to head of emerging markets debt strategies Guillermo Ossés, who joined the firm in January this year.
Phil Yuhn,Jose Wynne and Lisa Chua all join as portfolio managers based in New York.
Yuhn previously worked as a portfolio manager at American Century Investments. He also worked alongside Ossés at HSBC Global Asset Management.
Wynne joins from Barclays where he was head of FX research, while Chua previously worked alongside Ossés as portfolio manager at HSBC Global Asset Management.
Ehsan Bashi joins as a portfolio engineer based in New York, coming from KPMG.
Maria do Carmo Cal joins as a product specialist in London, coming from head of capital markets at Banco Itaú.

Man GLG hired Osses from HSBC Asset Management, where he was head of the emerging market fixed income business, which managed $20bn in assets.
