Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has revealed the team that would negotiate the UK’s exit from the European Union if the party won at next week’s general election.
Keir Starmer, Emily Thornberry and Barry Gardiner would be the alternatives to David Davis, Boris Johnson and Liam Fox respectively, Bloomberg reports.
They would be in charge of Brexit, foreign affairs and international trade.
Speaking in the pro-Brexit electorate South Basildon and East Thurrock, Corbyn said Labour would negotiate a Brexit “for the many and not for the few”.
Theresa May has said that a stronger majority in the 8 June election would give her a stronger negotiating hand in Brexit.
