Kuber hires EIS trio for ‘rapid growth’ plans

Kuber Ventures has made appointments to three newly created roles as it expands geographically and across the business.

Kate Hopkin, who joins from Brooks MacDonald and has also worked at Fidelity International, will become business development associate.

Tim Thornton will be be based in Leeds, which Kuber has earmarked as a strategic priority for the EIS space, while Matt Lenzie will increase the firm’s footprint across London and the Southeast.

Head of sales Piers Denne says “it is crucial to have the right team to support ‎the advisers working with Kuber”.

“The hire of three new people with experience in the EIS/SEIS and BPR market is testament to the rapid growth Kuber is experiencing.”

Denne adds that Thornton and Lenzie have “exceptional track records in tax incentivised investing”.

Thornton previously worked at Blackfinch Investments, while Lenzie joins from Angels Den, where he was head of sales for EIS and head of investor relations.
