Robin Black joins the global equities team, and will focus on Japan. He will report to head of equities Stephen Adams, and be based in Edinburgh.

Black joins from Macquarie where he was a managing director, responsible for global sales of Pan Asian equities. He has previously worked as head of Asian and Japanese sales to North America at Deutsche Bank, and at Citigroup, Merrill Lynch and Martin Currie.

Adams says: “The appointment of Robin adds strength and depth to our equities team, as we look to further develop our capabilities both in the UK and in continental Europe. Robin’s extensive experience in Japanese equities in particular will allow us to strengthen our credentials in the region.”
