Kames hires from Goldman Sachs for fixed income team

Corporate-Bonds-Stock-Shares-Certificate-700x450.jpgKames Capital has hired an investment manager from Goldman Sachs to add to its fixed income team.

Rory Sandilands will join the fixed income department in Edinburgh as investment manager, reporting to investment manager Stephen Snowden. He will work on the Absolute Return Bond funds.

Sandilands has spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs, working as an executive director in the firm’s credit sales team. Before Goldman he worked at Morgan Stanley in fixed income credit sales.

David Roberts, head of fixed income at Kames Capital, says: “We now have five absolute return bond products, with rapidly expanding assets under management. We will utilise Rory’s deep knowledge of the credit market to further enhance our offering and maintain our capacity for continued growth.”

Last week, Kames hired former Standard Life Investments head of European high yield David Ennett to join its fixed income team.

Ennett will be co-manager of the High Yield Bond and High Yield Global Bond funds, working alongside current co-manager Phil Milburn.
