Kames Capital has hired Rachel Robinson as a senior asset manager within its property team, following the launch of its second Active Value property fund in July.
Robinson, who joins from Aviva Investors, will report to head of active value property Philip Bach and will support the company’s active value strategies. The range has more than £800m in assets under management.
Bach’s promotion to head of active value property was announced last week. He says: “We believe there is considerable opportunity to buy good quality secondary assets within the £5m to £15m price bracket, outside of the London and certain South East hotspots.
“Capitalising on the opportunities these properties present requires considerable skill and resource. Rachel’s appointment further bolsters our team and her expertise will enhance our capacity to maximise their performance.”
