UK fund management group Jupiter was established in 1985.
It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. Martin Slendebroek became the group’s chief executive in March 2014.
Jupiter actively manages equity, fixed income and absolute return investments across a range of UK and offshore funds, multi-manager funds, segregated mandates and investment companies. Although the firm has built its reputation on equity investments, in recent years it has established a range of absolute return and global convertible funds in addition to launching new funds in the emerging markets sector. John Chatfeild-Roberts took over as chief investment officer in February 2010.Net mutual inflows of £465m over the first quarter of 2014 saw the firm’s AUM increase to £32.2bn from the £31.6bn posted at the end of the previous quarter.
In April 2014, Jupiter announced it has agreed to sell its private client business to Rathbones for £43.1m. As part of the deal, Jupiter’s private client team will also transfer to Rathbones.
