Jupiter snaps up Barings’ Japan equities manager

Japan-Stockmarket-Stock-700x450.jpgJupiter has appointed Mitesh Patel as assistant fund manager in its Japan equities team.

Mitesh will work alongside lead manager Dan Carter on the Jupiter Japan Income and Jupiter Japan Select SICAV funds.

Before joining the UK asset manager, Mitesh was an investment manager at Barings Asset Management, where he had worked since 2013.

Prior to joining Barings he spent three years at BlackRock Investment Management on both the Global Equities and UK Equities teams.

Jupiter chief investment officer Stephen Pearson says : “We are delighted with the progress Dan has made since taking on the senior management role of the Japan equity portfolios.  The recruitment of Mitesh to work alongside him adds further strength to our line up and underwrites our commitment to this strategy.
