Jupiter Asset Management has launched a multi-asset ecology fund as part of its Sicav range.
The Global Ecology Diversified fund will invest in a mix of stocks and bonds from companies set to benefit from the transition to a sustainable economy.
The fund will be managed by bond manager Charlie Thomas, as well as Abbie Llewllyn-Waters and Rhys Petheram, who are part of the environmental and sustainable investing team at the firm.
Petheram will manage the 60 per cent fixed income holdings of the fund while Thomas and Llewllyn-Waters will manage the remaining stock positions.
Thomas said: “The sustainable investment sector is becoming increasingly mature across asset classes, we believe we can apply our expertise in a way that will resonate with clients in delivering a diversified, lower-volatility and income-generating approach to a compelling global growth theme.”
Jupiter head of EMEA Kevin Scott says: “Jupiter has a long-standing franchise in environmental, fixed income and combined products. This fund has been carefully constructed to meet the demands and objectives of potential investors, opening up market opportunities across a new asset class.”
