Richards, who joined Jupiter as a graduate in 2011, will work alongside lead manager Ariel Bezalel, in a research and portfolio construction capacity as well as assisting with sales and marketing.

The promotion is part of a number of appointments in Jupiter’s fixed income team.

Hilary Blandy has also been promoted to head of credit research and will lead the five-strong team. Blandy joined Jupiter in 2012 and will report to Miles Geldard, head of strategy, fixed income and multi-asset.

Katharine Dryer has been appointed head of investments for fixed income and multi-asset. Dryer joined Jupiter as a product specialist director for fixed income in 2013. Reporting to chief investment officer Stephen Pearson, Dryer will work with the business and investment teams to build out Jupiter’s product range.

Adam Darling has been appointed a permanent member of the credit analyst team and Joe Moxham has also joined the team as an analyst.

Pearson says: “These appointments form an important part of a broader objective to expand our fixed income and multi-asset capabilities and build on our recent success in this area.

“A more formal structure, with clearly defined roles, is an important step as we seek to develop our offering, and follows recent strengthening of the fixed income risk and technology infrastructure.”
