Julius Baer has hired three new employees from Barclays and Lombard Odier to boost the wealth management team based in London.
Julian Cooper joins the team as a senior relationship manager, coming from 23 years at Barclays Bank. He was previously head of the entrepreneurs team at Barclays private bank and had been a board director at the division.
Patricia Newton also joins the team from Barclays, having spent 30 years in the industry.
Christian Rasmussen joins from Lombard Odier. They will all report to Annabel Bosman, who is head of UK relationship management at Julius Baer.
Bosman says: “We are delighted to welcome bankers of such reputation and calibre who will help us focus on our growth in the UK market, which remains key to our long-term strategy.”
Cooper stepped down from his role at Barclays Wealth & Investment Management in May this year, but no further details were given at the time.
