JP Morgan appoints co-manager on Asian trust

Hong-Kong-China-Asia-Victoria-Habour-700.jpgJP Morgan Asian Investment Trust has appointed Ayaz Ebrahim as joint fund manager of the trust.

Ebrahim, who has been with JP Morgan Asset Management since September 2015, is currently head of the Asia Pacific core team and chair of the asset allocation committee for the emerging markets and Asia Pacific equities team.

In his new role he will continue to be based in Hong Kong and will join portfolio manager and head of emerging market and Asia Pacific Richard Titherington in running the fund.

Ebrahim was chief investment officer of Asian equities and deputy chief executive at Amundi for five years before joining JP Morgan.

Prior to that, he held CIO roles in the Asia Pacific region for both HSBC Global Asset Management and Deutsche Asset Management.
