The Wealth Management Association has appointed JM Finn & Co’s head of investment management Sarah Soar to its board of directors.
Before starting her current role at JM Finn in January 2014, Soar was at Brewin Dolphin for almost 30 years as a senior manager as well as member of the firm’s board.
Soar was also appointed to the Council of the Institute of Directors in 2013.
WMA chairman Tim Ingram says: “We are delighted to welcome Sarah to the WMA board. Her experience across the industry will add a valuable perspective to our board and I look forward to working with her.”
Soar says: “I have been part of the investment community for many years and am pleased to join the WMA board at a time of such change. I look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
The WMA board now has 17 members, including Coutts chief executive Michael Morley, who joined the trade body’s board in May 2015.
