Janus Henderson has nabbed Columbia Threadneedle’s Jim Cielinski to become global head of fixed income.
Cielinski, who joins in November, will be based in the London office.
Before Columbia Threadneedle, where he was global head of fixed income, Cielinski was head of credit at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Columbia Threadneedle confirms US-based Colin Lundgren, who had been Cielinski’s deputy, will now become as global head of fixed income after 31 years at the firm.
Lundgren will report to global chief investment officer Colin Moore, who says he expects a smooth transition due to Lundgren’s long involvement with the fixed income investment teams.
Deputy global chief investment officer Mark Burgess will provide regional oversight of the London-based fixed income teams.
