Janus Henderson Investors has hired Dean Cheeseman to join its multi-asset team, which manages £5.1bn, as fund manager Chris Forgan departs.
Cheeseman joins from Mercer, where he was a lead portfolio manager responsible for managing $5.8bn of active institutional strategies.
He has previously worked for F&C Asset Management and Morgan Stanley.
Forgan will be leaving the business at the start of August.
Head of multi asset Paul O’Connor says Cheeseman, who joins in September, has a track record of delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns for clients based on his skills in asset allocation and fund selection.
“His proven ability in raising assets will be invaluable as we focus on exploiting the many growth opportunities facing our multi-asset business at this time.”
Nick Harper was recently appointed portfolio manager and asset allocation specialist.
