Old Mutual Wealth has appointed a new head of advisory sales, hiring Investec’s Gary Dale.
The new role combines the previous north and south of UK regional sales roles into one position. Gary Stirrup and Nick Jones previously held those positions and have left the firm.
Dale comes from Investec where he was head of intermediary sales for derivatives and structured products. He has also previously worked at Santander, Prudential, Norwich Union and Axa.
Dale will be responsbible for the sale of products and investment solutions in the UK. He will report to Scott Goodsir, managing director of UK distribution and will join 30 November.
“As a leading wealth manager we can help advisers deliver outstanding outcomes for their clients more efficiently. Gary will work closely with advisers and help the distribution team harness these new opportunities,” says Goodsir.
”The sheer breadth of Gary’s knowledge and expertise will be a real asset to the team and I look forward to him joining.”
Old Mutual Wealth revealed earlier this year that it was merging Stirrup and Jones’ roles into one.
Investec is currently recruiting to replace Dale.
