Miton reshuffles board as finance chief resigns

Miton Group has added two new directors to its board following the resignation finance director Robert Clarke.

Ian Chimes and Piers Harrison will be joining as sales and marketing director and chief operating officer respectively. 

Chimes joined Miton as head of sales and marketing after the firm acquired Psigma Asset Management in July 2013.

He held the role of managing director at Psigma. Prior to that, Chimes was managing director at Credit Suisse Asset Management and sales and marketing director at Henderson Global Investors.

Harrison also joined Miton in July 2013 as director of operations and risk management. He was previously deputy finance director and head of operational risk at Neptune Investment Management. 

Clarke will leave his role as director of finance on 28 September and will be replaced by Bart Edgar. 

The firm said in a statement: ”Robert Clarke has made a significant contribution to the reorganisation and restructuring of the group. The board would like to thank Robert for his diligence and hard work. He leaves with our gratitude and best wishes.”

As at 30 June, the group managed £2.2bn of assets including nine Oeics, four unit trusts and four investment trusts under the Miton and Darwin brands.
