Vestra investment manager Jim Mackie quits for Brooks Macdonald

Vestra Wealth investment manager Jim Mackie has quit the firm to join Brooks Macdonald, Fundweb understands.

Mackie has been with Vestra since June 2008 and was formerly an investment manager with Cheviot Asset Management and also an associate director with UBS Wealth Management.

Prior to UBS Mackie was with HSBC Investment Management as an investment associate.

A Vestra Wealth spokesman says: “Jim Mackie has left Vestra Wealth after more than six years with the firm to pursue an opportunity elsewhere in the industry. We would like to thank Jim for his contribution to Vestra Wealth and wish him the best for the future.”

Brooks Macdonald declined to comment.

Last month Brooks Macdonald Asset Management partnered with Berkshire-based IFA firm Petrus Financial Services to offer the Brooks’ bespoke and managed portfolio services through its IFAs.
