Old Mutual’s Ashton Bradbury to retire

Old Mutual Global Investors UK equities specialist Ashton Bradbury is to retire from the firm after 16 years.

Bradbury is leaving the business at the end of the year to pursue interests outside of fund management.

Tim Service now becomes as co-manager of the Old Mutual UK Specialist Equity fund and will take over as lead manager upon Bradbury’s departure.

Old Mutual head of UK equities Richard Buxton says: “I have enjoyed working with Ashton over the last 16 months as I have respected him as one of my peers in our industry for many years.   I am particularly appreciative of the support he has given since my arrival at the company in June 2013.  By having strength and depth in my team, we can offer clients an excellent alternative to Ashton by announcing Tim as their co-manager.”

Bradbury says: “Having spent 16 years commuting on a regular basis to London from my home in South Wales I have decided that the time is now right to pursue a somewhat less hectic pace of life in the years ahead.”
