Ex-SWIP chief exec Buckley joins JPM Asian IT board

Former Scottish Widows Investment Partnership chief executive officer Dean Buckley has joined the board of the JPMorgan Asian investment trust.

Buckley left Swip earlier this year along with other senior members including global equity director Will Low and fixed income director Mark Connolly after the firm was acquired by Aberdeen Asset Management.

He first joined Swip back in 2008 and prior to this was also chief executive officer at HSBC Asset Management UK and held a number of senior fund manager positions at Prudential Portfolio Managers.

The board of the JP Morgan Asian investment trust issued a statement today confirming that Buckley will now take on the role of non-executive director on the board of the investment company effective today.
