Investment boutique Oriel Asset Management has taken on three funds run by Williams de Broë Asset Management as part of its ongoing expansion.
The move will see Williams de Broë Asset Management’s Patrick Barton and Richard Scrope join Oriel as fund managers.
The WDB Oriel UK fund, run by Barton, and the WDB Oriel European and the WDB Oriel Global funds, managed by Scrope, will now be managed by Oriel, with Williams de Broë remaining as authorised corporate director.
Oriel Asset Management chairman Tim Hall says: “I look forward to working with Patrick and Richard and introducing their proven skills to a wider audience.
“This agreement builds on the momentum of our recent Ucits fund launch and leaves us excited about the prospects for the business.”
Oriel’s first fund, the Oriel Absolute Return fund, was launched in August 2009; it was followed earlier this year by the TB OAM UK Equity Market fund.
