Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Swip) has hired Michaela Rayner and Martin Orrin as investment sales directors.
Rayner and Orrin will report to head of wholesale Martyn Gilbey and will be responsible for increasing Swip’s share of the intermediary and discretionary fund management markets in the north of England and south-west and Midlands, respectively.
Rayner joins from Axa Investment Managers, having spent nine years as a discretionary sales manager. She has more than 25 years’ experience and has also held investment sales manager positions with Britannic Asset Management and Fidelity.
Orrin who has more than 27 years’ sales experience, joins from Smith & Williamson Investment Management where he was associate director with responsibility for developing all key discretionary and IFA accounts in the south, south-west, Wales and Northern Ireland.
