Standard Life appoints multi-asset investment director

Standard Life Investments has appointed Adam Rudd as an investment director in its multi-asset investment team, which is responsible for managing the Standard Life global Absolute Return Strategies (Gars) fund.

Rudd will become part of the asset manager’s 25-strong team, having previously worked for JP Morgan in New York, reporting to head of multi-asset fund management Guy Stern.

Head of multi-asset investing and fixed income Euan Munro says: “We constantly strive to provide clients with the best possible investment solutions and that means having the right people in place to help understand and meet investor’s needs and expectations.

“Adam’s skills as a quantitatively oriented derivatives specialist will add to the already impressive range of knowledge and experience within the MAI team.”

In September, Invesco Perpetual hired three members of the Standard Life Investments multi-asset team to bolster its own multi-asset team prompting a reshuffle at the asset manager.
