Spin doctor Mandelson named as Lazard International chair

Peter Mandelson, former adviser to Tony Blair, has been appointed as chairman of Lazard International.

The Financial Times revealed Mandelson had entered details of the appointment in the House of Lords register of interest.

He was appointed a life peer in 2008 and joined Lazard as a senior adviser in 2011.

According to the Financial Times, Lazard International consists of a small group of individuals who represent the investment bank internationally.
