Liontrust Asset Management has confirmed the launch of a Dublin-domiciled version of its Liontrust Special Situations fund, managed by Anthony Cross and Julian Fosh.

The fund is scheduled to be launched on 8 November in response to demand from international investors; the original onshore fund was launched in November 2005.

The launch was announced at the Fund Strategy Investment Summit last month.

The Liontrust UF Special Situations Fund will have a similar portfolio to the onshore unit trust but they will not mirror each other. The fund will have sterling, un-hedged and hedged euro share classes.

The fund will carry an institutional share class with an annual management charge of 0.75 per cent, while the retail share class will carry a 1.75 per cent charge.
