Artemis’ Mettrick rejoins Henderson

Artemis head of strategic alliances Sam Mettrick is to return to Henderson Global Investors as head of partnerships in January.

According to Henderson, Mettrick will spearhead its relationships with third parties, including life companies and fund platforms.

Head of retail Simon Hillenbrand says: “It is very important to have someone with his depth of experience and knowledge of the third party client base as we head towards RDR and beyond. I believe that Sam fits the bill perfectly and we are looking forward to working together again.”

Mettrick was formerly sales director for partnerships at Henderson New Star, leaving in November 2009. After leaving Henderson, Mettrick was replaced by James Tothill, who was appointed head of global partnerships.

Last month, Fundweb.co.uk revealed that Tothill left Henderson after three years at the business.

Reporting to Hillenbrand, Tothill was responsible for managing relationships with international insurance companies and other global distributors.

In September, Henderson director of marketing and distribution services Richard Wilson left the business. Wilson also joined Henderson from New Star, where he was marketing director for over six years.

Henderson Global Investors has appointed Sam Mettrick as head of partnerships leading the advisory partnerships team. Mettrick’s role will be to spearhead Hendersons’ relationships with third parties, including life companies and fund platforms.
