Small business owners are being urged to seek financial advice in order to make the most of the government’s proposals today.
Karen Barrett, chief executive of unbiased.co.uk, says recent research suggests 39% of small business owners are operating without independent financial advice.
She says: “The revitalised support from government should encourage businesses to review their current business plans and forecasts over the coming year and we would urge business owners to seek professional financial advice to ensure that they make the most of the new proposals.”
As part of the government’s autumn statement, Chancellor George Osborne announced plans to launch a national loan guarantee scheme to reduce interest rates for small businesses.
