Investment specialist Alan Kirkham is preparing to launch two investment portfolios designed around “Quaker principles”.
The QPortfolios will be managed by investment firm King & Shaxson and will be overseen by a governance committee comprised of Quakers.
Kirkham says: “If there is one message the current financial crisis is telling us, it is that moral and ethical capitalism must begin to change the way in which companies think and do business in order to establish a sustainable business model for future generations.”
The portfolios will be split between clients looking to invest between £25,000 and £150,000 and those intending to invest more than £150,000.
The QPortfolios will reportedly emphasise the importance of transparency and “will provide the only investments currently available to the general public that have a Quaker oversight”.
