Cazenove Capital is eyeing new products for Chris Rice, European equity manager, and Peter Harvey, fixed income manager.
The asset manager approached “about ten clients” last week to seek their opinions on launching a European equity income fund for Rice and a high-yield bond fund for Harvey.
Stressing the proposals are still in the research stage, a spokesperson says Cazenove would be keen to move the products along the development process if they receive enough interest from clients.
Rice, the head of pan-European equities at the asset manager, currently runs the £837.3m Cazenove European, the Dublin-domiciled Cazenove €120.2m (£102.8m) European Equity (ex UK) and the Cazenove European Equity Absolute Return funds.
Harvey is the manager of the £678.7m Cazenove Strategic Bond fund as well as the Dublin-domiciled £357.6m Cazenove Strategic Debt fund. He is also the company’s head of credit.
Earlier this month, Cazenove appointed Carter Holloran as a high-yield credit analyst on Harvey’s team. Holloran joined the firm from European Credit Management, where he focused on European industrial credit.
