Newton private client CIO leaves

Newton Investment Management has that announced Philip Collins, chief investment officer for private clients and charities, has left after this role was made redundant.

The news comes after the recent promotion of Simon Pryke as chief investment officer, having latterly been head of private clients and charities.

The asset manager says Paul Flood has been named as manager of the £30m Newton Phoenix fund, which Collins had previously managed. (article continues below)

Flood was previously alternate manager on the fund, with Ben Ward now assuming this position.
