Martin Currie has appointed Darren Cannon, the former derivatives and data services head at Schroders, as chief operating officer.
Cannon is to join the asset manager later this month and will report to Willie Watt, the chief executive of Martin Currie.
In his new role, Cannon will oversee the firm’s operational functions, including IT, client reporting, investment operations, transitions and the project team.
