Six income funds were among The Share Centre’s top 10 best-sellers during February, as investors sought to boost their earnings.
The Legal and General UK Index fund was the Share Centre’s best selling product in February. However, the fund is the default fund for child trust fund vouchers invested via the consumer platform.
Andy Parsons, the head of investment research at The Share Centre, says: “Investor appetite remains varied albeit there appears to have been a greater tendency to seek opportunities outside of the UK.
“Income is clearly still a driver for a pool of investors, potentially to help supplement their lifestyles.”
He adds: “Global and emerging market opportunities that help provide real diversification to their portfolios also look to be popular.”
