Government wants fund managers

The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills has started a search for fund managers to oversee investment in green infrastructure.

“Experienced” fund managers are being sought to manage mandates of up to £100m to invest in the non-domestic energy efficiency infrastructure sector.

“Potential fund managers will be responsible for sourcing a pipeline of projects across the full range of energy efficiency projects, including building retro fit, urban infrastructure and industrial energy efficiency,” according to the governmental department, headed by Liberal Democrat MP Vince Cable.

“Success in this sector is an essential part of the government’s commitment to achieving the transition to a green economy and delivering long-term sustainable growth.”
